This summer, we have an intern joining the Seagraves Financial Group team, and his last name may be familiar to you. Jack Seagraves just finished his freshman year at the University of Illinois, where he is majoring in Financial Planning. Jack plays outfield on the Illinois club baseball team and works in the University Office of Student Engagement during the academic year. He’s also active in CRU and participated in several intramural sports including flag football, softball, and kickball. This fall, he’ll move into his first apartment in Urbana with 5 friends.
Jack grew up in Glen Ellyn, enjoying being close to family in Illinois. He has traveled to many countries and is a dual citizen of the United States and Luxembourg. So far in 2026, he has traveled to Costa Rica, Florida, and Tennessee several times, but his favorite journey in the year was a spring break drive to Great Smoky Mountains National Park where he got to go on some beautiful hikes with friends and his girlfriend, Emme. Next up he’s hoping to visit some national parks in California.

- Any siblings? I have a sister named Annabelle, who will be a senior in high school
- Favorite vacation destination? Grandma Marilyn’s family farm in Oklahoma. When I was younger, I was fortunate enough to have all my birthdays during my spring break, and we spent that time on the farm each year.
- Favorite restaurant? Bricks – sausage and peppers pizza!
- Favorite dish? Spaghetti and meatballs
- Do you have any pets? No, but I like pet-sitting my aunt and uncle’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Gerba. My girlfriend has a Toy Golden Doodle named Kinnick whom I'd happily adopt if given the chance
- Favorite movie? The Shawshank Redemption
- Go–to karaoke song? Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi
- Favorite TV show? Shark Tank
- Favorite sports team? Illinois men's basketball
- Best coffee spot? Coffee is not my thing
