Dr. Seagraves, the Vaccine, and a Happier New Year to All

As most of Seagraves Financial Group’s friends and clients know, there is one Seagraves son/brother who is not a financial planner.  Dr. Thom Seagraves started a two-year fellowship in critical care medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City this past summer.  Prior to his fellowship, he was completing his residency in emergency medicine at Rush Hospital in Chicago, where he was on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It came as a wonderful surprise when Thom received word on December 14 (his birthday) that he had won a lottery spot to get one of the first vaccinations at his hospital.  Thom said there are hugely positive vibes right now at the hospital, with large groups applauding each time someone comes out of the vaccine area.  In general, there is a “happier sentiment everywhere” among medical colleagues in recent days.

Here’s hoping that spirit of positivity is what is most contagious as we move forward into the new year.

We wish you and yours the very happiest of holidays!
